A new way to move between floors.

SWIFT is a home lift brand from Sweden, founded in 2011 by John and Tommy Löwbäck after years in the traditional lift industry. The idea was simple: a lift for a private home should look and feel different from a commercial one. The company is headquartered in Stockholm, with R&D in Falkenberg. By mid 2025, SWIFT had delivered thousands of lifts across 110 cities in 35 countries, with Malaysian offices listed in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor, Sabah and Sarawak.

100% battery-driven What makes SWIFT different is its drive system. It runs on a 48V battery bank that charges itself as the lift travels downward, so it uses very little energy. It needs only a standard 230V single-phase power supply, and the manufacturer compares its consumption to an A-rated dishwasher. Because it is battery-driven, the lift keeps running during a power cut, so nobody gets stuck inside.

Aluminium guides, soft polyurethane wheels and a screw-and-nut drive made in Sweden keep the ride smooth and quiet. That matters in a home, where the lift sits next to your living room or bedroom..

Platform sizes range from XXS (830 × 600 mm, 2 persons) to XL (1400 × 1100 mm, 5 persons, 400 kg). The larger L and XL sizes are suited to wheelchair users and families who want more room.

SWIFT Studio works with artists and designers to make the lift part of the interior. The Pro offers ArtWall themes such as Oriental, Perching Bird, Concrete, Tiles and OP-Art. Shaft colours include Traffic White, Anthracite Grey, Jet Black and Gold, with custom RAL colours also available. The carpets are made from recycled ECONYL® nylon.

Safety and certification

SWIFT complies with the European Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the lift standard EN 81-41. Its drive screw is built to handle up to 20 tons, four times the required strength. Every lift also goes through testing, including over 50,000 endurance cycles. Safety features include an emergency stop button, an alarm button, a safety edge and an anti-trap system.

The manufacturer lists a 10-year warranty on the screw-and-nut drive and a 5-year warranty on the lift. The 5-year coverage requires a Support and Maintenance package.

Warranty

Safe and supported The lift has an emergency phone or alarm button that connects to your pre-set contact. It also keeps running during a power cut thanks to the battery system. According to the sales team, a service centre and emergency call support are available. Please confirm the details with the supplier, as terms and conditions apply.
