Compact laminate is a solid, self-supporting board made from many layers of resin-soaked kraft paper, pressed under high heat and pressure until they fuse into one dense sheet. It has a decorative layer on both faces, so it needs no plywood or particle board behind it.

What's inside ?
Compact laminate is made from multiple layers of kraft paper impregnated with phenolic resin, topped with a decorative melamine surface. The layers are fused under high heat and pressure into a single solid, non-porous panel that is water-resistant, durable and hygienic.
Easy way to explain : "It's like hundreds of sheets of paper glued with plastic, then pressed and baked until it becomes as hard as stone."That's why it's strong and waterproof: there's no wood or chipboard inside, so it won't swell like normal laminate on plywood.
Where to use it ?
Compact laminate works best in wet, busy areas where a thin, tough surface is needed.
